Off To Florida

Well it is official. We are headed to Lakeland Florida. A bit scared and exciting at the same time. Jared just excepted a job offer as Nation sales and recruiting manager. Jared is pretty excited to do what he has always wanted to do, I am too. The sad Part is leaving family and friends. I Really will have a hard time with Jared's mom Kay and sister Nikki and of course Jayne. Just think though, reason to vacation in Florida.

Which Jane Austin Character Are You?

I am Anne Elliot!

Take the Quiz here!

You are Anne Elliot of Persuasion! Let's face it; you're easily persuaded, particularly when friends and relatives try to use "the Elliot way" against you. But this doesn't mean that you don't have conviction. Actually, your sense of duty is overwhelming. And though you won't stick your neck out too often, you have learned to speak up when it counts. To boot, you know how to handle sticky situations. You love deeply and constantly.

My Best Friends Wedding

Tyler is trying to be sneaky and he actually succeeded.

Melody, Tyler and Raquel

My Best Friends Wedding

Jayne had her wedding the other week and it was gorgeous. Tyler was the ring bearer and Raquel was a flower girl and I was the maid of honor. Little Raquel did so well. She threw all of the flowers before she even got to the chairs but she did do it and was really good. Tyler on the other hand decided he did not want to be the ring bearer and would not walk. Jared help that situation out while I had to walk with Jayne's brother Mason. Tyler then decided he did not want Mason to hold the pillow so when we all got up front he grabbed the pillow from Mason and threw it to the ground. It was so funny.

I just bought all of Tyler's cloths that day and did not think he needed a belt. Needless to say he did. He was playing by the building and I turned just in time to see his pants fall down to his ankles. I screamed his name in shock and I think he thought he was in trouble for some unknown reason and took off running. the photographers just started taking pictures like they just saw someone famous. After that I tide a ribbon around his pant and it worked. I was so glad especially for being the cause of this incident. Everyone seemed to have gotten a good laugh out of it though.

Yes on Prop 8

I know I don't live in California but I know people who do and I am sure you do too. So this is for them. Help spread the information so people know what they are fighting for.

Six Consequences If Proposition 8 Fails

1. Children in public schools will be taught that both traditional marriage and same-sex marriage are okay. The California Education Code already requires that health education classes instruct children about marriage. (§51890)Therefore, if the definition of marriage is changed, children will be taught that marriage is a relation between any two adults. There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.

2. Churches will be sued if they refuse to allow same-sex marriage ceremonies in their religious buildings that are open to the public. Ask whether your pastor, priest, minister, bishop, or rabbi is ready to perform such marriages in your chapels and sanctuaries.

3. Religious adoption agencies will be challenged by government agencies to give up their long-held right to place children only in homes with both a mother and a father. Catholic Charities in Boston has already closed its doors because of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.

4. Religions that sponsor private schools and which provide housing for married students will be required to provide housing for same-sex couples, even if it runs counter to church doctrine, or lose tax exemptions and benefits.

5. Ministers who preach against same-sex marriages will be sued for hate speech and could be fined by the government. It has already happened in Canada, one of six countries that have legalized gay marriage.

6. It will cost you money. A change in the definition of marriage will bring a cascade of lawsuits. Even if courts eventually find in favor of a defender of traditional marriage (highly improbable given today’s activist judges), think of the money – your money, your church contributions – that will have to be spent on legal fees. And think of all the unintended consequences that we cannot even foresee at this time.

Where will it end? It’s your children, your grandchildren, your money, and your liberties. Lets work together to protect them. I believe this was written by Elder Larry Lawrence. Please help get the word out. Copy and paste this info and post it on your blog and/or email it to your contacts.

Provo 20 Miler

Exhausted, achy, thirsty and sore knees, Nikki and I finished the 20 mile trainer. I would suggest it to anyone crazy enough to try it. I don't know if I will be doing it again after the Marathon. I hurt the rest of the day. Mainly my waist down. This was by far the hardest to do. What was I thinking. But it is done. This girl was running with us for a bit and she said she was training for the St. George since last November. Wow, we just started in March and it seems like we have been training forever. The next race is our St. George Marathon October 4Th four weeks away. I cant wait till we are done. Next year I think we might go for a Triathlon or a Century. No more long runs like this. (maybe)
