Diversity is Beautiful

While my husband’s Grandfather was still alive, I would often head down to his place for a few days or so to help him out. As I would prepare His food, there was a quote on his refrigerator by Albert Einstein, that read, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” Too often we see this on a regular basis. To often we judge others on what they can’t do instead of what they can do. Can you image what this world would be like today if we all pushed together instead of tripping each other up by harshly judging them on their weaknesses? Just because someone does not have the same strength or even interest as you do, does not make them horrible people or even stupid people. If everyone was amazing at sports and not other activities such as music, art, writing, or other activities then live would get boring really quick. I believe we need everyone’s unique abilities to make life more enjoyable. I believe it is the diversity that makes this world so beautiful, and that’s the way our Heavenly Father wants it and has planned it to help us all appreciate everyone’s difference and their unique talents and gifts. Diversity makes this world beautiful.

Hard Work Brings Forth Good Fruit

Today was the first day of my new job. I was really hoping to earn my associate degree before I went back to work full time, however, life is not always the way you plan it. Otherwise, I would continue to be a stay at home mother working on my education. However, I’m grateful for the job I was able to attain and for my new boss. He is the kindest man I have met. His personality is contagious. I'm sure I could have found a job that pays more, but I would not have had such a wonderful place to work at. One of my biggest concern about working full time is how my children will adjust to me being gone more often. However, my boss is letting me set my own schedule to where it accommodates my life as a working mother. I love the atmosphere I work in and how everyone is so kind and happy. I suppose it’s easy when your profession is in counseling. I feel like those kinds of individuals just get it and are more laid back than everyone else. Maybe they just know all the techniques on how to be happy and laid back.
Now I just have to figure out how to fit my classes in my new way of life. It’s a bit hard at the moment figuring out my schedule and managing time between work, being a mother, school, and a busy calling. I know it will take some trial and error, but I also know that I will figure it out as I go. So far, I have really enjoyed all I have learned.  I really look forward to seeing what this job has to offer and how it will help me grow. Here is to a new chapter in life that will not be easy.

Happy Moments

If you asked me a month ago about what sports I wanted the kids to try, BMX would have never crossed my mind. And I never though I would find a sport that would put such a big smile on my boys face. It reminds me of the joys soccer once brought to me.

Secret Lake

So for my 29Th birthday, we hiked up to Secret Lake in between the conference sessions. It is absolutely gorgeous. I love Utah, it is so pretty. and only 15 to 20 minute drive from our home. The reason they call it Secret Lake is because it is on top of a mountain and hidden. I love it.

Away We Go

This picture means so much more to me. Mainly because Tyler literally made the move easier for me. I had to load the majority of the truck by myself and he made all the difference in the world.
Hang on this is a very intense part! Raquel rode the whole way with me so she could watch all her princess movies. She did not even notice the two time that we almost got in an accident.

Good Byes

The only sad thing about leaving Colorado was leaving the Larson's. It was so nice having them a few homes down from us.

Dinosaur Ridge

Whats neat about this place it that you hike a ridge full off all of these fossilize foot prints and other neat imprints.

However we got side tracked with a trail that lead us to the top of this mountain. the views were worth it. The only consequence is that we did not finish the ridge do to tired little legs. The upside is that there is another free day in September so we can work our way to the bones in the mountains another day.

My favorite thing about Denver is all the beautiful pine trees. I know there here somewhere.

First Day of School

Tyler was so excited to ride the bus and that was the high light of being in kindergarten. But once we visited the school and signed him up he was not for it anymore. I was very glad with his decision. Since the School is only a mile and a half we decided to walk it.

Tyler was pretty scared but once it was over he told me it was not as bad as he thought it would be. I was nervous for him, lets just say I am very grateful for the uniforms.
All in all it was a success.

Mothers Day

Mothers Day this year was the best. Jared made me Heart pancakes. If you know Jared this is defiantly true love, he does not cook. So with that said I felt very special. The kids helped and made me a lot of homemade cards. The best day ever.

GOOOOAAAAALLLLLL

This is my fierce soccer team AKA the Pretty Princesses. Raquel scored 4 points again. But who's keeping track? And this is my stud of a boy. He just loves soccer. (#8)
He Scored one point. I don't keep track of over all points and which team won. They don't keep score at this age. But I would like to meet a parent who doesn't keep track of their children's points. LOL Yes I'm a proud parent, but who isn't?

This is my favorite part of being a parent I love coaching and watching the games. Sports by far are the best.

Tea Party

Raquel and I went to our first Tea Party at the library. I love the library, they have so many fun free things to do. We are going to a Harry Potter exhibit next week along with a reading by the author in which we get to decorate cupcakes. Oh did I mention this is all free. Go to your local library and learn more. LOL

Now that I am done advertising lets get on with the Tea Part. That is the Fancy Nancy Tea Party. Raquel loves it when I curl her hair so since she knew she was dressing up she wanted her hair curled. Once we showed Jared and Tyler they decided to give her her birthday presents early. That is Jared gave her the Snow White dress and Tyler gave her the "glass slippers", ash she puts it.

It was even more fun that we had friends there to join her. Megan and Addi.

Here they let her walk the aisle as they introduced her.

She was asking when the next one was before it was even over.

Easter Eggs

This is the cutes egg coloring kit. The kids had so much fun. Raquel put princess stickers all over her dinosaurs and told me hers were beautiful. LOL I just love my kids. We went to 2 different stores today, Schnucks and Walmart. There was an Easter Bunny at each store so when we got to Walmart Raquel asked her Dad how the Easter bunny beat us when here dad was such a fast driver. So Tyler tells her that the Easter bunny is not real that it is just a walmart worker in a costume. Then Tyler preceded to say that its not really working when your playing in a costume. No worries they still believe the Easter bunny is real just not that big. lol

Tyler's first bike crash. It just rained really hard so it was muddy out. He went down a hill and crashed in the mud. I am glad He had his helmet on, if not his face would of gotten muddy a scraped. we were a mile away from home so Raquel would ride her bike a ways then run back and get Tyler's bike and ride it a ways. It worked great until she had to go to the bathroom. Thankfully the only thing that got hurt was his knee.

Our First Garden

We'll see how long it last. We got 2 types of flowers and strawberries. I really want the strawberries work out.
