Monster Frog

All the little frogs that we caught and bought died of a plague except one so we let him go. We thought he had a better chase of survival in the wild then he would with us. That same day Jared brought home 3 big frogs. 2 of them were medium size and then this one was monstrous. So Tyler referred to him as the monster frog. Raquel here was on the same page as me for a bit but then she ended up liking them.

The other day the monster frog looked dead so I told Jared to check him. So he opens the tank and scoots the frog with a spoon. The frog then jumps about 5 ft out of the tank and just about landing on ME. Good thing I am quick and he only hit my clothes. However my throat did hurt from screaming so loud. The kids were laughing at me. I see how it is. So when Jared went to catch the frog it took off on the vinyl and since it was slick for the frog it looked like he was trying to do a front hand spring. It was so funny. Needless to say, I caught the frog in the box and Jared put him back. Every time we walk by the tank the monster frogs ducks under the water until we're gone.

Off to Independence Vistor Center

The kids were done with my church touring sites at this point. Luckily Jared had already been here and He took the kids so I could enjoy it.

One of the original copies of the Book of Mormon. Pretty neat.
They had a little play area for the kids here. Quite fun.
We also got to see an exact replica of a cabin that the pioneers built. It was very small and they would fit 10 families in one until spring came and they could build more. And yet they were always happy.

The Day After The Half

Liberty Jail.
This here is a replica of the golden plates. Pretty cool to see. Never mind the dates on the pictures. I need to reset it.

This is where they passed the food through.

This is a very small sized jail especially for that many people. Not to mention they could not stand up straight.

This is where the Guard would stay. the top of the jail or main floor.

The front of the jail.

Here we stand at one of the spot where Joseph received Revelation From Jesus. A Pretty neat feeling that even a 3 year old can feel.
As we went through the tour we came to the jail and Tyler told Jared that Jesus was here. that he could not see him but he was here. Then as part of the tour there is a part where Jesus would speak to Joseph and when that happened Tyler turned to Jared and said, Where is he I can hear him but I can't see Him. I want to see him. It was so cute. It makes me proud that my 3 year old can put that voice to Jesus with out being told.

After the Half Marathon

Tyler and Jared were pretty worn out after the Half that they fell asleep. Raquel and I decided to explore. We found this train restaurant. I don't remember the name of it but you would be seated and when you were ready to order you did it over a phone. The food then is brought out to your table by a train. The train would drop the food on a elevator and the food would come down to you. It was really neat and enjoyable.

The other place we found was the Crayola store. It was pretty neat too.

Kansas City Half Marathon

Just before the finish line.

I am the one in the pink coat. These pictures are from the net so this is as good has I have Unless I want to pay $15 for each picture.

Family Visit

aunt Jeane Ann and Uncle Pete visited us last month, I am just slow at posting. It was really fun to see family and reminisce. It was only for a night and I wish it was longer but I will take what I can get. They got Tyler and Raquel these cute bags. They are Horses and adorable. I will post pictures here soon.

Tyler and Uncle Pete enjoying each other. Raquel liked the view from the couch.

Tyler and Raquel got a real kick out of Uncle Pete putting a blanket over his head and pretending to run into the couch and other things. I have not seen Tyler laugh that hard in a long time. I thought he was going to pee his pants.
