My Favorite Time of the Year

Once a year since we have been here Aunt Jeane Ann and Uncle Pete have come to visit. I look forward to it every time and hope they continue to come while we are here. HINT HINT. lol
We went to Daniel Boons Home and it was enjoyable. It was the first time through the village.

Aunt Jeane Ann Teaching Raquel how to break in. LOL jk

The Chapel of Peace
Its a good thing that sheep can't jump or they might get out.
I would expect nothing less. Uncle Pete playing football with Tyler.

Roots N Blues Half Marathon

I do one once a year and this one fell on my birthday. I know its crazy to wake up on your birthday and run 13.1 miles. Not to mention that there are 365 days in a year and out of those days I just happen to be sick again on race day. This is the 2nd race I have ran while sick. So annoying but I'd rather run it sick then have to sign up for another race. However, this race was a tough one. I never knew there was so many hills in Missouri. There was a 2 mile strip of flat trail other then that it was up or down. My quads and hamstrings hurt by the the end. Needless to say I finished.
By the way, I'm the one in purple.

Independence Visitor Center

My BFF Jayne came to visit form Montana. We picked her up in Kansas City and went to
Liberty Jail and the Independence Visiter Center. It the first time we got to see her little boy Ashton. He was so much fun.
Raquel just had to load everything up from the cabin to the Wagon for our treck west. She has such an imagination.
Tylers scared of Raquel's driving. JK He was saying cheese. LOL

Apple Picking

We just went on a field trip to pick apples at a local farm. It was fun but not as fun as last year. It seemed that we were rushed and did the whole thing in about 10 min. Once one of the Preschool ladies complained they sent us to the play ground to enjoy ourselves.

This is Raquel and her Teacher.
This is how happy Raquel was until she got to the bottom and smashed her nose on the 2x4 where that other little girl is.

Did I mention it was very exciting? Especially when they told us about how bee's help the apples grow.

The kids really enjoyed the hay ride.

Tyler and his Teacher.

Sorry these pictures are really out of order. This is how enthused Raquel was after hitting her nose. Poor thing.

Hickey

Yep, That is what is above his lip. Jared and I could not figure out what it was or where it came from until Tyler asked us why his gatorade bottle kept getting stuck on his mouth.
